It's always so tragic when someone passes before their time.
I stumbled upon HB a few years ago looking for some decent commentary on my fav hockey team. I was lucky enough to find a writer who is not a homer. One that can watch the team objectively, summarize what he is seeing and promote quality discussions among readers.
Prior to that moment, I just watched the games, and had a good time doing it. It was the articles that went further into player analysis that really got my attention. I then began watching the game with a different eye, with better understanding of the players who were truly making an impact in the games. Now I have a greater appreciation of the game as a whole, and enjoy it more than ever. Thanks for opening my eyes, Travis. You've 'paid it forward', I'd say.
ps, I hope the hand heals soon. If Gord2.0 just posts girl pic blogs every day, I think I'll lose my job.
